Historic Sites and Tours

 

- Historical museums in Saratoga, Encampment (20 miles - south on Hwy 130 to 70), Savery (50 miles - south on Hwy 130 to 70), Rawlins (45 miles - north on 130 then west on I-80), and Laramie (80 miles - north on Hwy 130, then east on I-80).

- Frontier Prison in Rawlins (45 miles - northwest of Saratoga) and Laramie (80 miles  - northeast of Saratoga).

- Fort Steele located off I-80, thirty miles northwest of Saratoga.

- Follow the trail off the Overland Stage by traveling on Pass Creek Road to Elk Creek (18 miles north of Saratoga).

- Take a tour of the National Fish Hatchery located just north of town.

- Drive the Snowy Range Scenic By-way (Hwy 130 South).

- Visit the Oregon Trail sites north of Rawlins.

- Historic Virginian Hotel in Medicine Bow, WY (approximately 58 miles north of Saratoga).
